How do I make a QR code with a logo?

URL is a website. Contact is a vCard. WiFi is the network name and password.

Why put a logo in a QR code?
A plain QR code is a black square. People scan it when they already trust the poster. A mark in the center is how the square belongs to you. Client portal URLs, staff vCards, office WiFi cards, and event badges all read better when the brand sits in the middle.

How does error correction keep a logo QR scanning?
QR codes include Reed-Solomon error correction. Level H can recover about 30 percent of the modules if they are covered or damaged. This planner turns H on whenever a center image is present. Without a mark it can sit at M, about 15 percent.
The payload is encoded first. Then the modules are drawn. Then a light pad and the mark sit on top. The pad keeps a dark logo from melting into dark modules. Finder squares in the corners stay clear. That is why the mark is capped near 22 percent of the code.
If the foreground and background are too close, scanners fail. The page blocks the download. Dark on light, or light on dark. Uploads crop to 512 by 512, 5MB max. A wide wordmark will clip if you skip the crop.

What can I encode: URL, contact, or WiFi?
A URL code should open a browser. Type the site. If you omit https, the planner adds it. javascript and data URLs are rejected. The code points at the URL you typed. It is not rewritten through a tracking short link.
A contact code is a vCard 3.0. Name is required. Phone, email, address, and website are optional. iPhone Camera and Android both know this format. That is why it beats emailing a photo of a business card.
A WiFi code uses the WIFI string phones already understand. WPA is the usual security. Open networks omit the password. Anyone who can see the printed code can join.
Names, addresses, and WiFi passwords stay in this tab. They are not written into the page URL. A URL payload can live in the query string so you can share a link to the same website code.
How small can I print a QR code?
Keep a quiet zone around the modules. The ISO quiet zone is four modules of empty space. Do not crop the PNG after download. The file already includes that border. A code that looks sharp on a phone can fail on a business card if you shrink it too far.
For close-range scans, print at least 2 cm on a side. On a business card, 3 cm is safer. For a poster, grow the code with viewing distance. A common rule is about one tenth of the scan distance. Scan the download on a phone before you print a hundred badges.
PNG is for slides and a fixed-size print. SVG is for a designer who will place it on a poster. If the phone scan fails, fix contrast or shrink the mark. Do not print first and find out in the lobby.
Is this a static QR code or a tracking short link?
This generator writes a static code. The modules encode the URL, vCard, or WiFi string you entered. There is no qrco.de hop, no scan counter, and no account. If our site goes down later, a printed URL code still opens the site you encoded.
Tracking short links let you change the destination after print and they log scans. They also break if the tracker dies. This page does not offer that. Use a static code when the destination will not change.
